The Pre-licensing class can be taken either in a classroom setting or through distance learning/virtual classes. If you choose to opt for the classroom option, you will receive an MV-278 Pre-licensing Course Completion Certificate. Whatever version you decide to enroll in, all courses use the same curriculum content. Once you successfully complete your course, the provider will report your achievement to the DMV automatically, and you don't require the certificate at the time of taking your driver's test.
